The Penniless Geek one hit close to home. They’re all certainly more eloquent than anything I could come up with.

About the skipped strips: have you tried combining some of the backlogged ones as a storyline in a single post like with the My Cage crossover? I suppose it might be even more time consuming to figure out how to piece two or three lame mysteries together and just giving a scene a passing mention as something Slylock did on the way to the real focus of the story might just waste the potential of the strip, but if you really want to catch up and do all the strips as well, it seems like a possible solution.
