The Lowdown

It’s simple: take something light and frivolous and treat it as if it were totally serious. Like, for example, treating a children’s comic about a cartoon fox who solves the sort of mysteries that you’d expect on a Saturday morning cartoon, and treat it like it was an Orson Wells movie starring Humphrey Bogart and Jimmy Cagney, written by Frank Miller.

If you’re familiar with Slylock Fox, then you know that strips containing any Slylockfoxing are only about one-fifth of the content, and I shall confine myself to those because this whole thing is character related or something. If you’re not familiar with Slylock Fox, then I shall still confine myself to those because this whole thing is character related or something. In other words, I’ll update when there’s a strip that contains Slylock. This usually means Sunday and Monday, but sometimes there’ll be a Wednesday or Thursday or something thrown in.

Oh, and Slylock hates Eggplants.
